Objective

Develop materials and concepts for an assessment instrument designed for use by HR and marketing professionals.

Overview

Workstyle is a multi-use preference model using vocational language to help people self-identify how they like to operate in the workplace. It was developed by a Vancouver business consultant with over 20 years in developing and working with such assessments.

The tool has been in testing at a multi-department food services company in Vancouver with tremendous success. The main tool, the preference survey, and the abbreviated Workstyle profile have gone a long way to alleviate staff tension through such things as voluntary role re-assignments, sorted out conflicts before they happened, improved succession planning and improved hiring and onboarding practices. The tool has been in testing at a multi-department food services company in Vancouver with tremendous success. The main tool the preference survey and the abbreviated Workstyle profile have gone a long way to put re-position staff in occupations they prefer to be working in, sorted out conflicts with the company, improve succession planning and most of all help the hiring and onboarding of new people.

My role over the 3+ years of my involvement with this project has been to get all online tools and two dozen properties designed and developed working with a software developer who resides in Lithuania. Workstyle was to be distributed under multiple web channels. I developed materials (presentations, graphics arts) and workshops for this project plus so much more in terms of contributing to the intellectual property development of Workstyle.

As of late Workstyle is being tested as a tool to help sales and customer service better empathize and communicate with their customer base.
